Audience welcomed "Ava/Ada" in Tehran International Festival of Puppet Theatre

Ava/Ada from USA was warmly welcomed by audiences just two days before festival's closing day.

According to IranTheatre, Ava/Ada, produced by Manual Cinema and directed by Drew Dir, was performed on 17 and 18 September at Tehran City Theatre main hall.

This shadow play is about two twin sisters, Ava and Ada and death of one which influences life of the other. Instead of using eastern Asian shadow techniques, the work has applied cinematic techniques and Hitchcock narration style.

Director Drew Dir appreciated audiences before performances and expressed his gladness on being in Iran and Tehran City Theatre mail hall.

After both performances of the theatre, audiences gave warm welcome to the performance and Dir requested interested viewers to come up to the stage if they want to see Manual Cinema group techniques for this shadow play.
